First Dill Pickles

This weekend I made my first batch of dill pickles from the pickling cucumbers and dill from the garden! I found a really great step-by-step guide to making them at www.inthegardenonline.com. I added a slice of jalapeno to one of the jars, and I can not wait to eat them!

  2. You are supposed to wait at least 24 hours, but the best flavor comes at 2 weeks...don't know if I can wait that long! LOL
