Unclog Your Drain Naturally

Unclog your drain naturally without using corrosive and harsh chemicals. Use baking soda, vinegar, and hot water! This weekend, we had a clogged bathroom sink drain. I used this method with great success. Here's how to do it:

Pour 1/4 C baking soda down the drain. Follow with 1 C hot vinegar (microwave for 1 min). Let sit for 30-40 minutes. Fill tea kettle with water and bring to a boil. Pour steaming hot water down drain.

And that's it! Super easy and earth friendly!

  1. Oh yes, unclogging your drain naturally is always the best! I know that chemical-based products have proven their potency for some time, but I feel that their risks are not worth the tradeoff. Besides, preparing a baking soda solution is very easy to perform, and you don’t have to put your safety in line just to do it!

  2. The most natural way to unclog your drains would be this very famous mixture. But did you know that you can also use hydrogen peroxide as an alternative for vinegar in the mixture? Yup! It's true. =) You should try it. It's safe since it is also used to sanitize kitchen sinks and public drinking fountains, and it can even remove harmful pesticides from fruits and veggies.

  3. I agree with Darryl. It’s been years since I stopped using chemical-based cleaning products because of their harmful effects to health and to the environment as well. Aside from this baking soda solution, I also use a salt, baking soda and hot water solution weekly to dissolve buildups and prevent stubborn blockages.
